My overall goals

My overall goals are to improve neatness in my notebooks. I have been working on doing this by not rushing my work and writing more neatly. I also set a goal to manage time better. I think I have progressed in this goal but I think I can still improve on this goal. I think I have to put a timetable at home for what I do and how much I study.

Science


1) One of the goals that I had set in Science during the Student led conference was to handle equipment better



This Lab worksheet is where we went to lab to make electrical circuits I thin I did well in this because when we compared our answer with the others they were the same and when we compared on how we made the models it was the same way and I Think that being new to the lab I have done well if mine and my friends ways match.
Earlier I would in the lab I would be a bit clumsy and sometimes make mistakes during the experiments like spilling a little bit of the substances that were given.
Now I can do all the work and experiments that needed to be completed in the lab without any spills on mistakes
I was able to do this because I took my time and built up my skills during all the labs we had.



2) My 2nd target in science was to pay more attention in class



This quiz we had was almost a surprise quiz. We only got one night to study and I still got full marks. I think this shows that I had payed attention in class.
Earlier I would get distracted by my friends and not pay attention.
Noe I try to focus and ignore the distractions that are around me
I was able to do this because Miss had told me to pay more attention and the results I got tempted me to pay attention and get better marks.

 3) This piece of work I am not so Happy with.



This was the electricity class test which was challenging but I think I could have got better marks if i had read some of the questions properly. In the next class I will try to read every question twice before trying to answer the questions.

Maths

1)


The goals I had st in maths was to stop making careless mistakes.

The evidence for this skill I have is the fractions class test.





































I put this class test on my e-portfolio because I used to make a lot of mistakes in algebra and I knew if I was paying more attention I could have gotten it right. In this class test there is only on mistake and I think I have improved a lot in comparison to what I did in my notebook.

Earlier I would not concentrate and make the mistake but now I concentrate and check the sum. I achieved this because my teacher gave me advice like don't talk while doing the sum.



2)

Another target that I have meet but I was not planning to meet was work more concentrated



The quiz was where we had questions projected on the board and we got only 2-3 minutes to figure out the answer and write in down.
 Earlier I would not read the sum properly and make simple errors
Now I look at the the sum In a more concentrated way and read it carefully.
I was able to meet this goal because my parents told me not to get distracted during quizzes and other  actives like that.





3)

This is the piece of work I am not satisfied with



















This was the fractions class where I made a few silly mistakes and lost marks and I relised after I got the paper that I knew the answer to the sum

English


1)
One of the targets I had set in English during the SLC was Improve spelling overall.
This piece is an evidence of the progress I have made in this skill Improve spelling overall



This worksheet above is an exercise where we had to find the meaning and make sentences. While making the sentences I made little spelling errors and that is why I am showing it in my E-portfolio.
Earlier I would make careless mistakes by not thinking about the word
Now I think about the word and try to pronounce the word and break it into syllables before writing.
I was able to do this because my mom told me to pronounce the word and I thought before I spelled the word.



2)
This piece is an evidence of the progress I have made in this skill speaking skill. Although this was not one of my targets but I still improved.


Book talk rubric is where we had to read a book during the winter holidays and had to speak about it when we came back to school. I scored well in the criteria of voice and presentation I got good marks. 
Earlier I would get nervous when speaking 
Now I speak with confidence but I get nervous sometimes.
I was able to do this because I practiced in front of my patents lots and my parents gave me advice.


3)
This piece is an evidence of the work that I am not so pleased with


This piece of work is where we did a comprehension exercise in class. I thought I had given all the detail that the questions asked for but that was not the case. 
I am not so pleased with this work because I made lots of grammatical errors.



The 2nd goal was read but I could not meet that goal. I think I have tried to read but I still need to read more to match my target. I think I failed at this goal because I have been lazy about reading.

The new goal I am setting is more specific and is that I will read One or 2 chapters of a book in one day.
